Chris has specialized in retirement planning ever since he began his career in the financial services industry in 1996. As a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, he has in-depth knowledge of the needs individuals face both before and after retirement.
Using customized tax mitigation planning, retirement income forecasting, distribution planning and estate planning, he endeavors to help his clients derive income from their savings, maximize asset growth while mitigating tax liability, and pass their wealth to succeeding generations in accordance with their wishes.
Chris has also attained the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, one of the most respected financial planning credentials among consumers and a recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning. "It was a desire to help people with one of the most important, yet underserved aspects of their lives – their finances – that inspired me to begin working in financial planning," said Chris. Chris builds strong, close client relationships with the families and individuals he serves. Chris added, "I seek to understand them first and discover what they really want out of life, and then help them pursue this. If you can find out what people really want and need, you can help them accomplish something great, whether it's in retirement or in life." In 2018, Chris was awarded Raymond James Chairman's Council* membership and Forbes Top 10 Best-in-State Wealth Advisors** of Wisconsin designation.
Earlier career stops include financial advisor at Morgan Stanley, vice president and financial advisor at Cleary Gull Advisors, and first vice president and financial advisor at B.C. Ziegler & Co., all in the Greater Milwaukee area.
Chris studied economics at University of Northern Iowa, and business at the University of Iowa. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the National Notary Association. Chris considers himself a lifelong learner, always seeking wisdom and discernment and dedicated to continuing education. He works with Strategic Coach, Empowered Wealth Ambassador, Ed Slott's Elite IRA Advisor Group, Abundance 360 and the Academy of Preferred Financial Advisors to enhance his knowledge yearly.
Chris is a Christian businessman and believes in serving the world in impactful ways. He has gratitude and appreciation for the blessings in his life, which have compelled him to give back. He is the co-founder of GloBall Giving, a nonprofit that provides healthy lifestyle options to underprivileged children by donating new and used sports equipment. Chris serves on the Board of Directors for Gathering on the Green - Mequon and the Mequon/Thiensville Education Foundation.
He has supported and volunteered with many charitable organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Rawhide Boys Ranch, United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Milwaukee Rescue Mission, The Parenting Network, Life Navigators, Prevent Blindness and the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
Chris was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, but lived most of his life in Cedar Falls. He now lives in Mequon, WI with his wife, Deborah, and daughters, Isabelle and Samantha. In his free time, Chris enjoys golfing, hiking, traveling, playing volleyball, continuing his volunteer work and spending time with his family.
